The Carpets of the Disney Magic

June 3rd, 2008 - by Joanne

Well, Chris gave us the in depth "Garbage Cans of Disneyland".  So I thought I would amuse and entertain you with the carpets of the Disney Magic.  If you are ever on the Magic, it is likely you will, at some point, refer to the ship maps that are provided near the lifts.  However, did you know that the carpet, as well, serves as a map?  I’m not sure how someone would know this without being clued in as I was at The Art of Theme Show tour I was on.

If you look down and see this:

you know that you are on the stairs of the Magic.  Melina, our guide, laughed out loud when they taught her that in her training.

If you look down and see this carpet:

You know you are on a stateroom deck.

And on the entertainment decks you’ll find the following carpet:

 If you’re seeing this carpet:

you are likely on deck 9, i.e. a pool deck.

And if you’re seeing the carpet below, it is likely your mouth is also watering or you’re very full because you’d be at Palo!

And of course, if decide to navigate the way most people do, you can always use this:
