Greetings fellow Mouse Fans!
Sorry for my absence! Mouse Fan Cafe was undergoing some magical enhancements. 🙂
Now where did I leave off… oh yes! I promised information on Dining at California Adventure. On my recent trip to Disney California Adventure, I had the opportunity to dine at Carthay Circle and Wine Country Trattoria as well as a few counter service locations.
The food at Carthay Circle was delicious but the one item I can't stop thinking about are the Carthay House biscuits. Ok, calling them biscuits is a bit of a misnomer but frankly, you could call these dirt balls and I would still eat them! A combination of dough, bacon, jalapeno and white cheddar, they are served hot with apricot butter. I know – odd combination, right? But just trust me, try it. My steak was cooked to perfection and although I could not partake in the Gremolata. the blue cheese crumbles were the perfect accompaniment. The restaurants decor is very rich feeling with dark woods and deep colors.
On another night, we dined at Wine Country Trattoria with the World of Color package. The package includes a limited menu, with your choice of soup or salad, entree and a dessert sampler. I chose the Minestrone Soup and Seafood Pasta. Dessert was definitely the highlight. My favorite was the chocolate caramel tart!
Tomorrow, counter service options at Disney California Adventure. Cone food!
Be well and make magic wherever you go!
