Greetings fellow Mouse Fans!
The sun is shining, the birds are chirping and your friendly blogger is in a great mood! Which always makes me hungry. (Ok, so being in a bad mood makes me hungry too but that’s a different blog!) Which brings me to today’s FAQ: Do I have to make advanced dining reservations?
Answer: Yes – if you want to eat at any table service restaurants! If your family is using the Quick Service Dining Plan and are not going to eat even one sit down meal, feel free to go about your day. But if you are planning on trying to dine with Mickey, Cinderella, or even Lilo & Stitch – read on!
The popularity of the Disney Dining Plan has changed the landscape of dining at Walt Disney World. Long gone are the days of walking up to Crystal Palace and getting a table. It is not uncommon to see restaurants with signs outside that say, "Not accepting any walk up reservations. Advanced reservations only." And while yes, I know it is hard to know what you are going to be in the mood for on a Tuesday 90 days from now, all I can tell you is that it is worth it to make a guess! In particular if you are traveling with young children whose trip will not be complete without dining with their favorite characters.
If you are traveling during the upcoming Free Dining period of mid-August – early-October than it is even more critical to make your reservations! I generally recommend that you make a reservation for one table service meal (usually dinner to get the most bang for your credits) each day.
More on how to decide where to eat tomorrow!
Be well and make magic wherever you go!
